Allow SVG File Type Uploads

Missing feature?

If there is a feature or option you feel is missing, feel free to get in touch! We’ll do our best to include it in the future Divi Toolbox version!

Maybe you’ve found a plugin setting that is not included in our documentation – please let us know.

Divi Toolbox  Global ➜ Allow SVG File Type Uploads

By default, WordPress prevents adding SVG files because of potential risks to security. A SVG file may have malignant JavaScript code embedded, which is a risk if you upload SVG files from unreliable sources. But with the Divi Toolbox, you can add SVG files, only remember to use this feature with caution. SVG has a lot of potential, and if you want to have a super crisp logo, always use SVG.

  • Once you enable this option, you’ll be able to upload SVG images the same way you can upload raster image types.
  • None of the previously-uploaded SVG files will be deleted once you disable this option (you’ll only lose the ability to upload new ones, and you won’t see their preview in the Media Library).
